Beautiful folk art patchwork skirt.
I created this entirely from upcycled materials.
Front panel is a patch made from denim jeans scraps. I stitched this with a traditional quilting technique called Window to create a frame for the batik burgundy heart then accented it with a hand embroidery technique called Blanket Stitch. I then sewed the patch to a gorgeous piece of vintage corduroy sent to me for repurpose by my dear friend Ripple.
I framed this with quilted blue cotton upcycled from a pillow case stitched with decorative leaves stitching on my machine. I then cut panels of the batik burgundy, a sweet swirls print and plaid cotton all upcycled from locally thrifted skirts.
This beauty is finished with a sweet thrifted vintage blue gingham ruffle accented with vintage burgundy lace.
Skirt is 30 inches long with two side tie drawstrings. Adjusts.to fit.anyoe up to size XL.
All of my skirts and dresses include two nice deep side pockets.
